Mayflower Descendant - Samuel was born in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts which is located NW of Plymouth. He was the son of John and Ruth [Alden] Bass. He was a 3rd. generation Mayflower Descendant in the line of John and Priscilla Alden who came over on the Mayflower. In about 1693 when he was 33 years of age, he married his second wife, Mary Adams [1667-1706]. I am a descendant of them and their daughter; Abigail Bass-Wild [b.10/03/1697], a 4th. generation Mayflower Descendant, who was born in Braintree, Mass. Samuel died when he was about one month shy of his 91st. year of life. May he rest in peace.

Deacon Samuel Bass, son of, John and Ruth (Alden) Bass. Samuel Bass was born in Braintree, Norfolk Co., Massachusetts.

Samuel and Mary Bass were confirmed to full communion at the First Church, Braintree, 12 7th month (September) 1667 (Alden Ge, 117). He was a member in 1711 and deacon in 1712 (Braintree 1st Ch by Bates, 4). He was a cooper (Bass Desc, 15) and served in the Indian War 1675 (Braintree Farms, #352). No probate record was found.

Note: He is not the Samuel Bass who M. Ruth Hayden 1711.
