Arthur C. Chubick, 84, 519 Wyoming Ave. died Tuesday evening, March 15, 1988, at the Afton Care Center.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Holy Spirit Parish. The Rev. Gerald Stessman will officiate with burial in the Mount Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Thursday at the Keating-Lindsay Golden Rule Funeral Home. A Christian wake service will be held at 7 p.m. followed by a family night. Memorials may be directed to the Afton Care Center or Green Valley Hospice.

Mr. Chubick was born May 12, 1903, near Griswold to George C. and Mary Ann (Pharo) Chubick. He married Theresa Hester LeRette Oct. 22, 1927, in Atlantic. They lived their early married years in the Lewis and Hancock areas until moving to Creston in 1937 where he lived until entering the nursing home in Afton. He was a used furniture dealer and operated a delivery service. He was a member of the Holy Spirit Parish.

Survivors include his wife, Theresa of Creston; a daughter, Mrs. Theresa D. Clark of Council Bluffs; five sons, Wilbur R. (wife Joan) of Creston, Arthur J. (wife Betty) and Marion E. (wife Bonnie)of Beardstown, Ill., Jerry D. (wife Joy) of Muskogee, Okla., and Barry K. (wife Charlene) Chubick of Coolidge, Ariz.; 24 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a brother, Harold Chubick of Redwood City, Calif., and a sister, Mrs. Eleanor Formhals of Long Beach, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Delbert C. and Frank M.; a daughter, Rosalyn; three grandchildren, one infant brother and one sister.
