DAVENPORT — Mark Kriner, 58, of Davenport, formerly of Bettendorf, died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014, at his home. Services in celebration of his life will be 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 25, at Weerts Funeral Home, Kimberly at Jersey Ridge Road, Davenport. Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Private interment will be at Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the family.

A graduate of Davenport West High School, Mark was born in 1956 to Lawrence and Barbara Kriner in Davenport. He served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard. On July 30, 1977, he married Marsha Metcalfe in Davenport. Mark and Marsha were foster parents to over 100 children over a period of 20 years. For over 31 years, Mark was a fork truck driver with Alcoa, retiring in 2008.

Survivors include his wife, Marsha; and daughter, Lisa Kriner, son, Nicholas (Jordan) Kriner, and their daughter, Micheala; parents, Lawrence "Vern" and Barbara; sister, Kelly Payne; brothers, Steve Kriner, and Bruce (Toni) Kriner; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
