Mrs. James Samon
The many friends and acquaintances of Mrs. James Samon, nee Gussie Clauss, were grieved to learn of her sudden death at her home in Philadelphia on Tuesday morning with heart failure. Deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Granville Clauss, of Lehighton, both
deceased, and was aged 40 years. Besides her husband she is survived by one sister, Mrs. W. E. Ash, of town, and two brothers, Harry F. Clauss, of Philadelphia, and William D. Clauss, of
Maryland. She was a most excellent lady and a devoted wife. In his sore affliction Mr. Samon has the sincere sympathy of his many friends. The funeral services will be held this evening at the family residence in Philadelphia. The remains will be brought to Lehighton for interment tomorrow morning at 11.08 via the Lehigh Valley Railroad. The cortege will proceed to the residence of W. E. Ash where brief services will be held at one o'clock after which services will be held in Trinity Lutheran church conducted by Rev. J. H. Kuder
