Mrs. Huss was the consummate "southern lady" beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was involved in a myriad of volunteer activities to include: officer's wives activities in support of her husband's military career, Stone Mountain Woman's Club, Docent Guild of Hickory Landmarks Society, various volunteer activities in support of the Lenoir-Rhyne College Alumni and Parents Association. Prior to her illness she was an active member of First Baptist Church of Hickory, the Baptist WMU and provided leadership for Williams Mission Group of the First Baptist Church of Hickory. She was a 1969 graduate of Hickory High School.
Interment in Oakwood Cemetery.
