Marvel Burr Anderson Vogel

Early Life: Marvel was born to Charles A. Burr and Alice Christensen Burr in Monticello, Utah.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: On April 18, 1931, she married Spencer Victor Anderson. Her children are Charles Victor (Skip) Anderson, Sidney Anderson Whitlock, Phillip H. Anderson (deceased) and James David Anderson (deceased). Marvel had a large extended family whom she loved dearly: 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. Vic and Marvel bought a house on north Main Street in Springville, Utah, where they raised their children. She was a long time employee of Haymond Drug Company. In 1955, she moved to Las Vegas and married Mark Vogel. He preceded her in death in 1962, but Marvel chose to remain in Las Vegas where she retired from the Fremont Hotel at age 65. Her family's welfare was always her first concern and she loved going back to Springville to visit her large family. She will be buried in Provo near her husband, Mark. Beautiful mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Marvel Burr Anderson Vogel, passed away peacefully at home on August 13, 2014. She was 99 1/2 years old.
