Mr. Comeaux was a Lt. Colonel in the Army Reserves for 26 years. He retired as a procurement specialist from Rock Island Arsenal in 1990. During his service, he had assignments in Korea, Viet Nam, Alaska, and Italy. He was active in Winnsboro V.F.W. Post #3155.

He was preceded in death by his father, John D. Comeaux; and one sister, Lillian "Penny" Comeaux Rockett.

He was survived by his wife, Beverly A. Comeaux of Winnsboro; one daughter, Connie Leigh Comeaux of Monroe; three sons, Christopher T. Comeaux of Moline, IL, Matthew Douglas Comeaux of DeKalb, IL, and James Patrick Comeaux of Baton Rouge; his mother, Audrey Allen Comeaux of Winnsboro; one brother, Glen Dale Comeaux of Escatawpa, MS; and 1 grandson.
