BRIGHAM CITY - Archie Andrew Allen, 58, died March 27, 1994 at his home of cancer.

He was born October 24, 1935 in Union Grove, AL, a son of Robert D. and Maude J. Ballew Allen.

He married Doris Harmon August 25, 1963.

He was a member of the LDS Church. He graduated from Utah Tech with a major in Human Affairs and a minor in Nursing.

He was active in the VFW where he had been a Post Commander and State Surgeon, he served in the US Army in Germany and was a member of ABATE.

He had worked at the State Hospital, Provo, for Thiokol, for Intermountain Indian School and was an independent businessman in Brigham City and Ogden.

He is survived by ex-spouse and good friend, Doris, two children: Michael A. Allen, Brigham City; Mikel Rhoades, Ogden; two grandchildren: Crystal Lynn and Mikel James Rhoades, his mother, Maude J. Allen, Arab, AL; two brothers: James R. Allen, Union Grove, AL, and Wayne C. Allen, Arab, Al.

He was preceded in death by his father, a sister Willene Allen, and a brother, Luther L. Allen.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1. p.m. at the Brigham City Sixth LDS Ward, 506 South 200 East.

Friends may call Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Olsen-Myers ,Mortuary, 205 South First East.

Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
