HUGO, Okla. - Helen Nadine (Oakes) Petty, 79, of Hugo, died Friday, July 27, 2001 in Paris. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, at Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home, with Brother Donnie Bates officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
She was born Dec. 10, 1921 in Soper, Okla. She married Clifford Hamby in 1940. In 1980, she married Neely Petty. He died in 1988.
She is survived by two stepsons, Billy Petty and Ronald Terry; two brothers, Tom Oakes and Robert Oakes, three sisters, Wilma Hammond, Edna Montgomery Loftin and Betty Lyles; four step-grandchildren; and 2 step great-grandchildren.
