PIKEVILLE--James D. Carter,43, died Wednesday night in Wilson Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 3:30 P.M. at the Faith Freewill Baptist Church by the Rev. Frank Davenport. Burial will be in the Pikeville Cenmetery.
Surviving are his widow Thelma Herring Carter; two daughters Mrs. John E. Olive of Durham and Mrs. Roy Pearce of Rt 6 Goldsboro. his parents Mr. & Mrs. Daniel James Carter of Goldsboro;two brothers Jasper Carter of Wallace and Linwood Earl Carter of Goldsboro; three sisters Mrs. Charles Jernigan of Isle of Palms S.C.; Mrs. Harold Ray Tyner of Goose Creek S.C.;and Mrs. J.D. Ireland of Charleston S.C.; and six grandchildren
