Funeral Services for Mr. Paul L. Barrett, 67, of Bromide, Oklahoma will be held on Monday, August 4th, 2014 at 2:00 p. m. in the Herb Clark Memorial Chapel at Clark Funeral Service in Tishomingo, Oklahoma with Brother Don Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Wapanucka, Oklahoma. Mr. Barrett passed away on August 2nd, 2014 at his home.
Paul was born on August 16th, 1946 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to John M. Barrett and Ora Dell (Ogle) Barrett. He graduated from high school at Dibble, Oklahoma and later attended Murray State College in Tishomingo.He also served in the United States Air Force National Guard. Paul married Donnie Davis on August 5th, 1967 in Bromide. They lived in Oklahoma City for many years and he worked as a Quality Control Supervisor at Johnston Controls/York until retiring. They returned to Johnston County in 2008.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Arbery Barrett and Harmon Barrett, a sister, Leora Mills and a granddaughter, Taryn Barrett.
Paul is survived by his wife Donnie, of the home, two sons, Mark Barrett & his wife Amie of Folsom, Oklahoma and James Barrett & his wife Amber of Yukon, Oklahoma, his daughter, Ashli Wigington & her husband Jeff of Red Oak, Texas, a brother, Rex Barrett & his wife Maxine, two sisters, Wanda Coward and Wilena Naylor, seven grandchildren, Taylor, Tyson, Trista and Tinsley Barrett, Cale & Lanna Wigington and Jagen Barrett, two sisters-in-law, Jean Barrett and Ramona Barrett, and other relatives.
Pallbearers for the service will be: John Truett, Gary Taylor, Wayne Mitchell, Curtis Duffey, Perry Sneed, Jim Tyrell, Jimmy Don Toney and Kimes Simonds.
The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 5-7 pm at the funeral home.
