Born September 28, 1960, in Savannah, Georgia, he was a son of Daniel Dixon Lyons and the late Florrie Laverne Kinard.
From a young age Danny has been an outdoors man, he was employed by Murdaugh Tree Service in Walterboro for thirty years where he worked with the company as a bucket operator and job foreman.
Danny attended Mount Carmel United Methodist Church and will be fondly remembered for his avid love of fishing. He possessed a heart of gold and loved to cook and feed others and would willingly do anything he could for others. Danny, being the very backbone of his family, was a loving husband and father.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his father, Daniel Lyons, and his wife Mary of California; three sons, Keith Hunt and wife Melodi, Daniel Adam Lyons and wife Mindy, and Mason Dixon Lyons and wife KayK all of Walterboro; two brothers, David Lyons and Nick Lyons both of Walterboro; three sisters, Hope Thompson and Wanda Hunt both of Walterboro and Danielle Wofford of Columbia; seven grandchildren and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Parker and Norma Jane Lyons of Walterboro.
Funeral services will be conducted 11AM, August 8, 2014, at Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, Walterboro. Interment will follow in the churchyard. The family will received friends prior to his funeral service beginning at 10 o'clock in Mount Carmel Church.
