In Burlington, Iowa, July 30, 1887, Mrs. Caroline BROWN died in the 79th year of her age. Born in Fayette Co., Pa., and with her parents and family came to Iowa in 1839 settling near Libertyville. Her husband, Robert BROWN, who died 20 years since, was a prominent citizen and at one time treasurer of Jefferson County.
Mother of 12 children, 10 survive. Member Presbyterian Church for more than 60 years. Remains interred at Batavia.
