Quartermaster of the 175th New York Volunteers during the Civil War. Editor and proprietor of Andrew's Bazar & Andrews' American Queen. Editor and proprietor of the Meadville, Tribune. Private Secretary to Sentor Boise Penrose and from 1904 until his death, he held the post of State Chairman of the Republican Party for Pennsylvania.
