"EDITH M. CROSLEY
Edith M. Crosley, 81, resident of Tower Road, Knightsville, for many years, died at 5:28 a.m. Sunday in Clay County Hospital following an extended illness. She had been a patient at the Harty Nursing Home and was admitted to the hospital nearly three weeks ago.
Mrs. Crosley was the widow of Ruben Crosley, a clay worker who was employed for a number of years at Arketex Ceramic Corporation prior to his retirement. He died in 1968.
A native of Asherville, she was born on May 10, 1896. Her parents were the late James and Phoebe (Rissler) Siner.
She was a member of the Knightsville Church of Christ.
Surviving are a son, Martin Crosley, Route 11, Brazil; two daughters, Mrs. Orval (Marie) Parr, 527 S. Alabama St.; and Mrs. Frank (Josephine) Butler, Harmony, nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Grace Latham and Mrs. Alma Nagle, and a brother, Clarence Siner.
Services will be conducted in Miller and Sons Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Bro. Leo Miller will officiate with interment to be in Calcutta Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Tuesday."
