Lois Bryant Caughron, age 90, went home August 3, 2014. She was a member of Euclid Avenue Baptist Church for over 50 years where she served as Sunday School teacher, choir member, and President of the WMU. She worked as secretary in the family business at O.A. Caughron & Son's Machine Shop. She was a 50 plus year member of the Acacia-May Chapter, OES, serving as secretary.

She also served as Junior Bowling League secretary and on the board of Junior Achievement. She was preceded in death by her husband Avery Caughron, daughter Suzanna Sexton, parents A.J. and Rosa Bryant, and brothers S.I. Bryant, Herbert Bryant, Hubert Bryant and Everett Bryant.

Survivors include Son Andrew Caughron and wife Vickie, grandson Patrick Sexton, sister Anita Bridges, and several "favorite" nieces and nephews, as well as many other family members and loved ones. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the 4th floor staff at Shannondale Healthcare on Middlebrook, were she spent the last 14 years of her life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Shepherd Of The Hills Baptist Church, 400 East Beaver Creek Drive, Knoxville, TN 37918.

Funeral service will be held 7 PM Wednesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with Rev. Leland Lyon officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 AM Thursday at Edgewood Cemetery for an 11 AM interment. The family will receive friends Wednesday 5-7pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City.
