Birth: Apr. 28, 1796
Death: Oct. 1, 1866
Philadelphia
Philadelphia County
Pennsylvania, USA

Taken from an old, photocopied newspaper edition. I am unsure of the paper's name nor date of publication as I only have the clipping:

"Died suddenly, on the 1st inst, Mrs. ELIZA MARIA WARNE, wife of Elisha S. Warne, Philadelphia, aged seventy-one years. There is a melancholy pleasure, as we lay a few frail odour-breathing flowers upon the mound that shrouds a loved one's form - as we kindle for a passing moment fragrant incense upon the shattered altar of our friendship - as in the contemplation of all that was pleasant and lovely in the mortal life, we grasp somewhat of the felicity of a soul redeemed and glorified. It is thus my privilege and pleasure to pay a tribute to departed excellence - a wreath a garland for the sainted dead. Mrs. Eliza Maria Warne, daughter of Elisha Ayres, Esq., of Morristown, N.J., wife of ruling elder E.S. Warne, of Philadelphia, was born April 28, 1796, and united with the Presbyterian Church May 5th, 1821; she sleeps in Jesus since October 1st, 1866. For fifty two years a faithful, loving wife wife, the sunshine of whose sympathy brightened the very storm clouds of life. For more than half a century the self-sacrificing, life - devoted mother of children, eleven of whom mourn her departure - one met her at the gates of heaven. For forty-five years an earnest, trustful follower of the Lamb - whose religion manifested itself in works of kindness, and deeds of mercy - in ministrations by the bedsides of affliction - in rooms of sorrow - whose earthly happiness seemed to flow from happiness imparted, from benefits conferred on others. Her home was otherwise her world - where she was content to labour and to love. Her Christian faith was constant and serene - her death, though sudden, tranquil, fearless and triumphant. May those who loved her live her life, and die her death - and by reproducing her virtues, honour her memory, that they may share her eternal reward."
