Verona M.Diehl,90, passed away July 29,2014 at the Hodgeman County Health Center, Jetmore,Ks. She was born on February 21,1924 in Jetmore,Ks the daughter of Roy Calvin and Nancy H. Brumfield Kellogg.
A longtime area resident, she
was the Central Supply Manager for the Hodgeman County Health Center,Jetmore,KS. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Jetmore,Ks, American Legion Auxiliary, Senior Friends and did volunteer work at the hospital and the Salvation Army.
On May 5,1945, she married Roy L. Diehl in Dodge City,KS. He passed away on March 5,1983. Other survivors include three sons: Sonny(Linda)Diehl of Fort Collins,Co, Marty Diehl of Leavenworth,KS, Ronnie(Jeri)Diehl of Jetmore,KS and one daughter, Lorina(Gene)Mache of Schulenburg,Texas; seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Verona was preceded in death by two brothers,Everett Ray " Kelly" and Vernon L. Kellogg, five sisters: Iva Klinge, Nellie Grubb, Lola Merritt, Lou Johnson, Esther Fehrenbach and one grandson, Jason Lane Diehl.
Funeral service will be on Sat.Aug.2,2014 at the United Presbyterian Church, Jetmore,KS. with Pastor Mark Durham presiding.
Cremation will follow the service and inurnment will be at a later date at Fairmount cemetery in Jetmore,Ks.
