William J. "Bill" Adams, Jr., 91 of San Antonio, passed away on July 26, 2014.

Bill was born to the late William J. Adams, Sr. and Bonita Casley Adams on May 6, 1923, in Lufkin, TX.

He was a resident of Houston, TX until moving to San Antonio in 1978.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 46 years, Janet Malinowski Adams.

He is survived by 2 daughters: Billie Adams Knippa and husband Jim, and Carol Adams Robertson and husband Danny; 3 grandchildren: Julie Knippa Colby and husband Steve, Staff Sergeant Russell R. Robertson, USMC and wife Kumiko Nakada Robertson, and Jo Marie Robertson McDonald and husband Shawn; 2 great-grandchildren: William Touri Robertson and Camila Rae McDonald; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bill retired from Hartford Insurance Group, March 1, 1988.

After retirement, Bill worked for a short while as a volunteer at NE Baptist Hospital.

He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.

Services:
Funeral services will be Friday, August 1, 2014, at 12:00 PM, at the Mission Burial Park North Mausoleum Chapel. Interment will follow at Mission Burial Park North.
