Racing driver. Luigi Villoresi was born in Milan, Italy and was nicknamed 'Gigi'. He came from a prosperous family and was the elder brother of another racing driver Emilio Villoresi. Emilio died in 1937 when testing a factory Alfa Romeo. By 1938 Luigi joined the Maserati team and the following year won the South African GP.
