To often we wait until the Sun of life has gone down to drop a flower, or give expressions of appreciation's for the life of those that we have to part with: Brother Carter Morgan, son of Nathan Morgan, was born in Wayne Co., Ky., January 18th, 1880. Died December 1st, 1922, was married to Margaret Hughes. Daughter of W B Hughes, Sept 23rd, 1903 to this union three children were born, all together with three brothers and one sister. He professed faith in Christ and united with the Rector, Flat Baptist Church March 1920.
In the home going of Bro. Morgan the community in which he lived has lost one of it's best citizens and the church of which he was a member has lost a loyal supporter, very keenly do we feel our loss, but we rejoice in the victory, of his life and in the assured triumph of his death.
He was a man of a quiet nature and was anxious to see truth and righteousness prevail among men. He.loved his family and wanted to stay with them, but as the end drew near be seemed to be resigned to the Lord's will, and insisted that his wife stay with him. Which she did to the end.
The writer and community in which be lived join in expressing to the wife and three children and relatives prayerful sympathy. And ask that for needed comfort they ever look to him "who doeth all things well."
After funeral services, held by the writer the remains were laid to rest in the Beck Cemetery near his home.
By a friend and brother.
