Rodolfo "Rudy" Espinoza, 87, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2014 at Haven of Safford Nursing Home. Rudy was born November 15, 1926 in Miami, AZ.

Rudy talked frequently of his love for "life on the ranch", between Eagle Creek and the Gila River, where he lived as a child tending to the horses and goats. He attended school in Morenci and Miami. He also worked for Phelps Dodge before moving to Las Vegas, NV.

Rudy is survived by his children; Rudy Espinoza, Jr. of Tucson, JoAnn Espinoza of California and Mary Ann Hom of Safford, Grandchildren; Mary Lynn, Rudy III, Toni, Daniel, Samantha, Jennie and Jeffrey. He also leaves behind two brothers; Mike (Cassie) Espinoza, Nick (Jenny) Espinoza both of Clifton, three sisters; Sally (Ben) Beltran of California, Vera Garcia of Duncan and Amelia Lucio of Safford and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his former wife, Amelia Llamas Espinoza, his parents, Lorenzo Espinoza and Tomasa Espinoza, his brother Gregorio Lucio in WWII and his two sisters Oralia (Lalis) Moreno and Esther Tavison.

A viewing for Rudy will be held on Friday, August 8, 2014 a 9:00 a.m., the Rosary to follow at 10:00 a.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Safford with interment to follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Clifton.
