Son of Joseph H. Wilson and Elizabeth McElroy Wilson. Joseph, who resided at 110 Glenrich Avenue, Wilmington, Delaware, served as a Private First Class with Company F, 28th Infantry Regiment, 8th Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II. He was "Killed In Action" near the Ruhr River in Germany during the war. He had served in the Army for ten months at the time of his death.
