William Clyde Agee, age 89, of Crab Orchard, WV, passed away at home Thursday, July 17, 2014.

Born on May 5th, 1925, in Kimball, WV, he was a son of the late Jonathan Agee and Laura Epperly Agee.

Mr. Agee was a member of the Crab Orchard Church of the Brethren, where he was a Deacon. He retired from DE State, where he was an inspector at DE State University.

Mr. Agee also served our country in the United States Navy during World War II as a gunners mate on the ship USS Hornet CV-12.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eugina Collison; two brothers, Emmett Agee, John Taylor Agee, and four sisters, Nannie Ruth Beach, Ola Virginia Harris, Lois Terry, and Doris Agee.

Those left to cherish his memory include sister, ...; stepdaughter, ...; two sons, ...; two stepgrandchildren, ..., and one grandchild, ...

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2014, at the Crab Orchard Church of the Brethren with Pastors Eric Clay and Jim Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.

Friends may gather with the family Monday from 12 to 1 p.m. at the church.
