Mrs. Amy J. Butler
Dies in 95th Year
MYSTIC - Mrs. Amy Johnson Butler, 94, mother of Mrs. W. Rand Jones of Mason's Island, died Saturday night at the Whipple Nursing Home, where she had been a patient for one year. Mrs. Butler entered the nursing home from her home in Teaneck, N. J. Before that she had summered on Mason's Island.
A native of Middletown, she was born Dec. 6, 1859, the daughter of Gideon and Elisa H. Johnson Palmer.
She was the widow of William W. Butler. Besides her daughter here, she leaves a son, Charles W. Butler of Pittsfield, Mass.; four grand- children and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be private.
