Grace attended The University of Iowa, Iowa City, and received her Associates Degree in Nursing, graduating at the top of her class. While attending school at Iowa City, Grace met, fell in Love and married Arnold Wesley Tummel on January 1st, 1924 at Iowa city. Arnold was attending Law School at the University at the time of their meeting.

Former Resident Dies
Mrs. Nettie Brown of Vincent received word recently of the death of her daughter, Mrs.Arnold W. (Grace) Tummel,of Casa Mesa, Calif. She was a former resident of Gilmore City. Her death was un expected,although she had been a invalid the past year. She is survived by a son, A. Dean Tummel, of
Long Beach, Calif., her mother and a sister, Mrs. J.B. Olsen, both of Vincent, and Dale Brown of Victor.

MARRIED AT IOWA CITY
Word has been received the past week announcing the marriage of Arnold W. Tummel, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Tummel of this city, and Miss. Grace Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred W. Brown of Gilmore City. The marriage took place at noon on New Year's Day in Iowa City, being held in the Presbyterian parsonage with Rev. Reed as officiating clergyman.
Miss Brown was a graduate of the Gilmore City high school and later completed a course in nurse's training in S. U. I. hospitals, where she has been practicing her profession for a year and a half.
After finishing in State Center High School, Mr. Tummel took a course in the Cedar Rapids Business College and since that time has been in railroad and Western Union service at different points in Iowa. He is now with the Western Union at Iowa City and is also pursuing studies in the State University.
Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Tummel will be at home to their friends at 14 South Gilbert, Iowa City, Iowa.
