Gale Davis

Services for Gale Davis, 86, of 406 S. 4th St., who died Tuesday at a Boise hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Summers Funeral Home by the Rev. Jackie Marshall and Rev. Blaine Russell. Sawtooths Barracks No. 217, Veterans of World War I. Interment will be in Terrace Lawn Cemetery.

He was born Nov. 22, 1892, at Rogersville, Tenn. He married Elsie Terrell on Jan 14, 1925, in Hawkins County, Tenn. He moved to Boise in 1956. He worked for the bonded police until his retirement in 1958. He was a member of the Calvary First Assembly of God Church.

Surviving are 3 sons, Robert Davis of Rogersville and John H. Davis and Tommy Joe Davis, both of Boise; 4 daughters, Hazel Reamey, Sarah Childress, Dorothy Woods and Helen Benton, all of Boise; 2 brothers, Jim Davis of Jerome and George Davis of Whitesburg, Tenn.; 2 sisters, Annie Alvis of Boise and Mary Ferrell of Surgoinsville, Tenn.; 30 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. His wife died in 1975.

Friends may call at the chapel from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. today.
