♥ ♥ ♥ ~ ~ ♥ ~ ~ Dear Kathy ~ ~ ♥ ~ ~ ♥ ♥ ♥
Kathy was a very loyal friend, loving daughter, mother, grandmother, and sister, and companion to one person since 1979.
Kathy attended Grade School #55 and Broad Ripple High School. She had many friends, who are still her friends today because of her bright and silly personality. She was a joy and her friendship was a treasure to us all.
She belonged to the Haverford Moravian Church in Indianapolis and was a member of the Riveria Club and enjoyed swimming, hiking, camping, and thrill seeking. For many years she was a season ticket holder, along with her family to Kings Island Amusement Park near Cincinnati, Ohio, and spent a great deal of time there.
Kathy worked for several places in Indianapolis including Osco and then when it became CVS, she stayed for many, many years, she also worked for Steak n'Shake and Hardees.
She grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana, then for a few years she lived in Houston, Texas until her father became ill with cancer and she returned home to help her mother take care of him. She stayed with her mother until she moved North for the kids education. She lived in Fishers after her older boys were in High School. She helped home school her youngest son. In April 2013, her and her son Jimmy, moved to be close to her second son in Plano, Texas. There she met her first granddaughter who became a HUGE piece of her heart.
Kathy was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis while in the 4th grade and underwent brain surgery, however they could not remove the tumor because it was on the cerebellum. This tumor is eventually what cost her her life. She was told in February of 2013 that the tumor had become malignant and that there was little that could be done. They gave her 6 months to live. She did not make it quite that long.
She is survived by three sons and 2 brothers and one granddaughter, as well as many friends who will miss her terribly.
She was a gentle and loving soul, and I personally will miss her.
I will love you forever, my friend, but I will see you again someday.........
