BROWNSVILLE - James Franklin Elmore, 71, of Bee Spring died at 5:10 p.m. Aug. 15, 2009, at his home.
The Edmonson County native was a retired carpenter and a member of Bee Spring Missionary Baptist Church. He was a son of the late Robert Smith Elmore and Vonnie Woodcock Elmore. He was preceded in death by two sons, Richard Anthony Elmore and Kevin Dale Elmore; two sisters, Evelyn Carnes and Joyce Elmore; and a grandson, Chris Hayse.
Funeral is at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Gravil Funeral Home, with burial in Bee Spring Cemetery. Visitation is in progress until 9 p.m. today and begins at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Kay Bradley Elmore; a son, Kickie Elmore and his wife, Vickie, of Bee Spring; three daughters, Cynthia Bagshaw and her husband, Bobby, of Anneta, Gwen Lindsey and her husband, Neal, of Bee Spring, and Angel Cook and her husband, Rodger, of Brownsville; two sisters, Ethel Elmore of Sweeden and Lois Wells of Cave City; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
