David M. French, of Birmingham, Alabama and a former Calumet area resident, passed away Thursday, October 28, 1993 in Birmingham, Alabama. He is survived by his loving wife, Edith; sons, David (Patty) French of Merrillville, Indiana and Alan (Carol) French of DeMotte, Indiana; daughters, Rebecca (Richard) Klapkowski of Highland and Rosetta (Doug) Krause of San Jose, Ca; eight grandchildren.

Mr. French was a jeweler for 45 years; veteran of World War II, recipient of the Purple Heart.

Funeral services will take place Saturday, October 30, 1993, at 2 p.m. from the Hanceville Funeral Home in Hanceville, Alabama followed by burial at the Fairview West Cemetery in Hanceville."
