Glen Dehaven, 97, 271 S.E. Washington St., Dallas, died March 27. He was born in Warren, Ill., the son of Oscar and Mary Jones Dehaven on Jan. 10, 1887. His family moved to Corvallis in 1891 and later to a farm east of Dallas in 1905.
Glen graduated from Oregon Agricultural College (now OSU) in Corvallis in 1910 with a master's degree in science and agriculture. He was a licensed pharmacist. After a short partnership in a science laboratory in Portland, he entered into partnership with his father on the family farm.
He helped organize the Dallas Co-op in 1916 and later its constitution and by-laws in 1938. He was the last living charger member of the Co-op.
Mr. DeHaven was a member of the Dallas United Methodist Church from 1905 until his death.
He married Isabell M. Elliott on October 12, 1910. On August 18, 1961, she died at their home after a short illness. Later he married Jeannette June Taylor on May 13, 1964, in Dallas.
Surviving are his wife, June of Dallas; sons, Wendell of Dallas and Clark of West Covina, Calif.; grandchildren Jim Dehaven of Salem, Jean Dehaven of San Antonio, Texas, and Bruce Dehaven of West Covina, Calif.; and two great-grandchildren.
