Emily Catherine Moore was born in Cove, Polk Co., AR, the daughter of Cornelius "Collins" Benton Moore and his wife Louisa Jane McCombs Perrin. In 1886, she married Benjamin Sebastian, and was the mother of James Henderson Sebastian, William Benton Sebastian, Nora Adeline Sebastian (Carpenter), Rosa Mae Sebastian (Carlson), Sarah Anna Sebastian (who died young in the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic), and David H. Sebastian.
Of note, Little Granny was a triplet - her sisters being Rhoda and Mary. Family lore is that when they were born, they all fit into a shoe box.
