During Spanish Civil War, he was forced to exile and he stablished in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is best known for his books "La Sirena Varada," "La Dama del Alba," "Nuestra Natacha," "Prohibido Suicidarse en Primavera," "Los Árboles Mueren de Pie," "La Tercera Palabra" and "El Caballero de las Espuelas de Oro." He obtained the National Award of Literature in 1932, for his book "Flor de Leyendas." His real name was Alejandro Rodríguez Álvarez. He died in Madrid, Spain. (bio by: José L Bernabé Tronchoni)
