Chester was the middle son born to Phiners H Ainsworth and Artemis Meadors in Robertson County, Texas.
Chester enlisted September 20, 1942, in Houston, Texas. He was killed in action while serving with the 913th Field Artillery Battalion, 88th Infantry Division in France. TEC5 Claude Ainsworth, his younger brother, would die 16 days later (also in France).
Cpl Ainsworth, as well as TEC5 Ainsworth, were returned for reburial in the Camp Creek Cemetery in 1949. He was survived by his parents, and their only surviving son, Samuel.
