Mrs. Emma M. Schille, well-known Ellenburg woman died Saturday, June 8 at St. Mary's Hospital at Walla Walla at the age of 79 years. She was ill of a heart condition for several years and had been moved to Walla Walla from Boise, Idaho, only a week previous to her death.

Emma Basler was born in Pierron, Illinois, August 11, 1883 and lived there until grown. She was married there to Charles F. Schille. They moved west to Harrington, Washington, and in Spokane Valley in 1924 where he died in 1944. The next year Mrs. Schille moved to Ellensburg.

Survivors include four sons, Roy, of Sacramento, California, Elmer of Walla Walla, Emmett of Boise, Idaho, and Francis Schille of Great Falls, Montana; three daughters, Mrs. Virginia Blagof of North Hollywood, Mrs. Elsie Ziegler of Grand Coulee, and Mrs. Marie Kelso of Ellensburg; 33 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. A son, Norman Schille, died last August. She also leaves two brothers, Edgar Basler of Spokane and Emil Basler of Highland, Illinois, and a sister, Mrs. Rose Schille of Holland, Illinois.

Rosary will be said here at St. Andrew's Church following the Novena Tuesday evening and the same night at 9:30 at the Spokane Hennessey Funeral Parlor. Requiem Mass will be at St. Rasco's Church, Milwood, Washington, Wednesday morning at 9. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Spokane.
