Alfred W Aird
Services for Alfred W. Aird, 54 of 1865 Adair St. will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Church of the Nativity.
Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday at Behr's, where the Scripture Wake Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday
Mr. Aird died at 7:20 p.m. Monday in Finley Hospital. He was born in Harpers Ferry, Ia., and had been employed at the Dubuque Packing Co. He was a World War II veteran and had been awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. He was a member of Dubuque Post No. 6 American Legion and the Amalgamated Meat Cutters Local 150.
Surviving are his wife, the former Bernice Charland; two daughters, Cynthia Louise and Denise Ann, both at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Aird of Harpers Ferry, Ia.; a sister, Mrs. Thomas (Helen) Martin of Shullsburg, Wis., and a brother, Robert of Waterloo, Ia.
