Note: The 2 Aug 1790 Grafton census states there were 3 males under the age of 18 in the home of William Jr; that would be Abraham (b. 1778), John B (b. 1785), and William (b. Apr 1790). If one of those males died before 1790, then there is a possibility that Amos is the son of William & Keziah (Blackmar) Ford. There are records of John and William; not for Abraham, he may not have survived. That would mean that Amos might have been the third male in the house.

William Jr was in the military 1777 at Scituate, Rhode Island. There is not record of when he married Keziah, but it appears they removed to Grafton, New Hampshire and their first child was born 1778. So this means they prob married at the end of 1777 or the beginning of 1778. If they married when Keziah was 18, then this Amos in question would have been born at Rhode Island if that were the case, and he was not.

Note to the family: There was another Amos Ford in the area b. 1768 Cornwall, CT, father was Hezekiah and he settled in Grafton County as well. The Amos Ford born at Connecticut married Hannah Beers.
