"---Ellery Chesebro, a native of this town but who for years has resided at North Norwich, died at his home January 24th of cancer of the stomach. He is survived by his wife, who was Antanette Palmiter of this town, two sons, Corrington of California and George who resides with his parents, and one daughter, Mrs. Judson Armstrong of North Norwich. For years past Mr. and Mrs. Chesebro had made occasional visits to this locality to visit relatives and old time friends and their interest in their native town had not seemed to in anywise diminish. This was proven likewise from the fact that they took great delight and interest in the Courier Mr. Chesebro never failing to drop in on the editors when here. He was a man much respected by all his acquaintances. He would have been 76 years old the 7th of next August. The burial took place in the Sherburne cemetery."
