Bertha Lett Wessler, 88, Odessa, died Oct. 11, 2003, in Enid, OK.
Mrs. Wessler was born March 24, 1915, in Anderson, MO, to Charles Albert and Maggie (Epperson) Billings. She was a seamstress for the Odessa Shoe Factory and had worked for several restaurants in Odessa. During World War II, she worked in the comesary at Camp Crowder in Nevada, MO. She graduated from high school in the Anderson area and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Odessa. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Martin Luther McIntire, Alfred Lett Sr., Lloyd "Buck" Archer and Wilfred "Pickett" Wessler.
Her survivors include four and spouses, Rosetta and Jerry Bedsole, Foley, AL, John and Judy McIntire, King, NC, Alfred Lett Jr. and Gail, Pleasant Hill, and Steve and Beverly Lett, Enid, OK; two stepsons, Bryan Wessler and wife, Myrna, Concordia, MO, and Brad Wessler and wife, Vicki, Gladstone; a brother, Clarence Billings, Jefferson City; and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Odessa. Burial will be in Odessa Cemetery. Friends may call tonight at the Ralph O. Jones Chapel, Odessa.
