*SALLY A. DODSON* age 69 of Burr Oak, Michigan died early Tuesday morning February 5, 2008 at Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis.
She was born July 1, 1938 in Sturgis, Michigan a daughter to the late Arthur L. & Mabel M. (Maystead) Fisher.
Sally had resided her entire life in the Burr Oak and Sturgis area. On July 1, 1952 she married Harold D. Dodson in Howe, Indiana. He died August 24, 2000.
She had been employed for 8 years by Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis and she was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker.
Sally enjoyed crocheting, needle work and cooking. She was a NASCAR fan and the driver she followed was Jeff Gordon. Sally was happiest when she was surrounded by her family especially her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by 3 Daughters; Billie (Larry) McKinley of Sturgis, Connie (Mitch) Foster of Burr Oak and Jackie (Bill) Vahovick of Sturgis, 3 Sons; Michael (Traci) Dodson of Muskegon, Randy (Theresa) Dodson of Sturgis and Donald (Balinda) Dodson of Schoolcraft, 15 Grandchildren including; Stephen Larsen of Burr Oak and Heidi Larsen Decker of Sturgis, 23 Great Grandchildren, 1 Sister; Nancy (Richard) Kissel of Burr Oak, Mother-in-law, Esther Dodson of Sturgis, 2 Brothers-in-law; Bob (Vicki) Dodson of White Pigeon and Tom (Mary Lou) Dodson of Hodunk, 4 Sisters-in-law; Eula (Harold) Cornish of Three Rivers, Phyllis Dodson of White Pigeon, Sue (Michael) Hogan of Burr Oak and Jan Hagelgans of Sturgis and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers-in-law; Carl Dodson, William Dodson and Jake Krontz and 1 sister-in-law; Marjorie Tullos.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday at the *HACKMAN-Foglesong Funeral Home* of Sturgis. Funeral services celebrating the life of sally Dodson will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Rob Hambright will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the service at the Burr Oak Cemetery in Burr Oak.
