Mrs. Emma Morrow passed away at the home of her sister, Mrs. Lucy Renner, of the Washington district, August 13th, 1928. She had been ailing for more than two years but became seriously ill from cancer about four months ago. The past two months, she had been at the home of her sister, who had tenderly cared for her.
Early in life she was converted and became a member of the Free Will Baptist church near Orla, later uniting with the Washington Christian church.
She was married to John Robison, who died about 13 years ago. Later was married to Brown Craig in March 1924. He died later. She was married later to George Morrow, who survives her.
Mary Emily Knight was the second daughter of Moses and Jane Knight, and was born near Orla January 12, 1870. Her mother died several years ago. A brother, two sisters and a half sister also preceded her in death.
Her aged father, Moses Knight, who has been ill since last February, was unable to attend the funeral, which was held at the White Oak Pond church Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Ed Sanders.
Interment was in the nearby cemetery by the side of a husband, John Robison. The choir sang "Rock of Ages," "No Night There," and "Till We Meet Again."
The pallbearers were Zelmer Davis, Roy Griffin, Elbert Randolph, Henry Cope, Sim Francis and Belfie Marcum. A sister, Mrs. Lucy Renner, a brother, Andrew Knight, and two nieces, Mrs. Leo Doty and Mrs. Belfie Marcum, were at her bedside when the end came.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her aged father, Moses Knight, a stepmother, five brothers, one sister and three half brothers and a half sister, Mrs. Lucy Renner of near Lebanon, Andrew Knight of Russ, Rev. Thomas Knight of Summerville, Missouri; Austin Knight of Seminole, Oklahoma, and Will and Harrison Knight of Tekamah, Nebraska; and Clyde, Clarence, Alva and Pearl at home. A great nephew, Lester Marcum, died just six days before.
