Womelsdorf, May 29--Amos M. Brown, 74, retired farmer, died yesterday in the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Blouch, Womelsdorf R. D. He was born in Bethel Township, a son of the late George and Rebecca (Merkey) Brown. He was a member of Little Swatara Church of the Brethren, of Rehrersburg. His wife, Emma (Hunsicker), preceded him in death 11 years. Surviving are nine children: Miles H. Brown, of Richland R. D., Thama, wife of Harry Boyer, of Fleetwood; Stella, wife of Miles Behney, of Fredericksburg R. D.; Mabel, wife of Lowell Gassert, of Avon; George of Palmdale; Paul, of Orwigsburg; Evelyn, wife of Clifford Blouch, with whom he lived; Earl and Curtis Brown, both of Shartlesville; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Sarah, wife of Jacob Weaver, of Harrisburg; two brothers, Adam Brown, of Shillington, and George Brown, of Harrisburg. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the Schucker Funeral Home. Further services in Union Meeting House, Fredericksburg, the Rev. George Snyder officiating. Burial in the adjoining cemetery.
