Mr. Harrison was born on February 20, 1928 in Cairo, Georgia, the proud son of Lossie (Vickers) and Thomas Harrison. He relocated to Fort Myers as a child and later attended Fort Myers High School prior to starting his 40 year career as a supplier of Anheuser-Busch products with Tedder Distributors. During that time he was fortunate to marry the love of his life, Virginia (Stokes), and together they raised six wonderful children. Mr. Harrison was active in his community and became a longtime supporter and member of the Lions Club. He was a devoted Christian who attended McGregor Baptist Church.
Aubry leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife Virginia; daughters Marjorie Wicks (Laverne), Sandra Hicks (Larry), Karen Riggs and Linda Bonhoff (David); his sons Aubry B. Harrison Jr. (Jeanelle) and Terry S. Harrison (Carol); 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind a brother Pete Harrison and a sister Jerlene Dixon and a favorite pal, Benji, his faithful dog. Sadly, he was predeceased by his son Jerry, his parents, brothers A.E. Harrison and Merle J. Harrison and grandchildren Kenny, Kimberly and Jamey.
A Visitation will be conducted from Noon to 2:30 PM on Saturday, July 5, 2014 in the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555.
