Jules Renard
Birth: Feb. 22, 1864
Death: May 22, 1910

Author. He is fondly remembered for his book "Poil de Carotte," that reflected his unhappy childhood. The title (carrot hair) was his nickname, because he had red hair. He is also remembered for his books "Vigneron dans sa Vigne," "Histoirs Naturelles," "Journal," "Crime de Village" and "Nos Frères Farouches."  (bio by: José L Bernabé Tronchoni)
