Mr. Hayes was a plumber and a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Army Air Corps. He had been a resident of Pangburn for most of his life and was a member of the Pangburn Methodist Church.
Mr. Hayes is survived by his wife, Mary Evelyn (Sanders) Hayes of Pangburn; one son, Danny Hayes of Searcy; one daughter, Melba Baker of Searcy; six grandchildren, Chuck Baker, Michael Baker, Brian Hayes, Danna Smith, and Cody Hayes, all of Searcy, and Darian Baker of Anchorage, Alaska; and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Hayes is also survived by other relatives and his many friends.
