Young Cystic Fibrosis victim. She was the subject of a January 2003 Daily Statesman story and became the focus of a school effort involving a benefit concert to raise money for a double lung transplant that year. Enough funds were raised to offset the cost of the surgery to the family, and she underwent the surgery the next month. It was a success. She graduated from Dexter High School in 2005 and began attending Southeast Missouri State University that fall. However, the Cystic Fibrosis began to attack her new set of lungs in December and her health began to decline again. She was sent back to Children's hospital in St. Louis, but was allowed to attend her sisters wedding. She was then returned to the hospital and scheduled for a second double lung transplant at which time she was added to the top of the list for another lung donor. She passed away while awaiting another donor match.

Savannah was the daughter of Stan Snider and Sheila Fuwell and sister to Jeremy Royce Snider, Jake Cox, Matthew Snider, and Kim Essner. She lived in Dexter, Mo. most of her life and attended the First Baptist Church. During High School she was a member of the Student Council, Rowdy Gals and the FTA. While in college she was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority.
