According to existing records, Johannes aka John Dunkelberger was known as "Little Johnny" in deference to his father, also known as John.

Johnny was a farmer who settled in Mahantango Valley, in Mahanoy (now Lower Mahanoy) township, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. He married Susanna Zimmerman, and their children were: Daniel, Catherine (Knerr), George, John, Joseph, Magdaline, Susanna (Howerter), Solomon, and Elizabeth (Klock).

The original death date on this memorial was June 14, 1833. It has been changed to May 17, 1835, which is documented in the publication, Genealogical and Biographical Annuals of Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, By Floyd, JL & Co., published in 1911. It lists the burial location as Howerter Cemetery which now called Jacobs Cemetery.

There is another source which shows the death date as 10 years earlier. It is the Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Church and Town Records, 1708-1985, from the Gerberich Collection, which shows he was born September 11, 1775 and died May 17, 1825. Until there is further documentation, or a readable photo of his gravestone, I will leave the date as May 17, 1835, which is the closest to the original date on this memorial.
