The services celebrating the life of Lauretta E. Irvine of St. Cloud will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday at the St. Benedict's Senior Center Chapel in St. Cloud. Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault, Minn.

Lauretta died Saturday at St. Benedict's Center. There will be a visitation from 5-8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in St. Cloud and again after 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the chapel at St. Benedict's Center chapel. Arrangements are being made by the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in St. Cloud.

Lauretta was born in Breckenridge, Minn. to Delroy and Edith (Shaver) Allen. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Moorhead State, and then attended graduate school at the University of Minnesota, Iowa University and University of Wisconsin, River Falls. She married Donald Irvine on Aug. 11, 1948 in Fargo N.D., and was an English teacher until her retirement from the Faribault School District in 1960. She lived in Faribault until 1964 when she moved to Hastings, and then she moved to St. Cloud in 1998. She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Faribault and a member of the MEA and NEA.

Lauretta is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth (Dean) Stienessen of St. Cloud; sister, Shirley Agriesti of Marquette, Mich.; and her brother, Wesley Allen of Wahpeton, N.D. Lauretta is also survived by her granddaughters, Cassidy and Morgan Stienessen of St. Cloud.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Don; her brother, Curtis Allen; and her sister, Donna Toussaint.
