Margaret W. "Cot" Poole, 94, of Sheffey School Road, Wytheville, the Porter's Crossroads community of Wythe County, died Tuesday, April 9, 2002, in the Wythe County Community Hospital, Wytheville.

Funeral services were held Friday, April 12, at 2 p.m. At the Baker's Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Glennard Quesenberry officiating. Interment followed in the West End Cemetery, Wytheville.

Known as "Granny Poole" by all, she was an active member of the Baker's Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Roy Poole, Sr.; and a great-grandson, Justin Harmon.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Edward Jackson and Wynant and J.D. Harmon, all of Route 1, Max Meadows; six sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Poole and Kathy Harris of Lexington, Ky., John and Dina Poole of Burlington, Iowa, Dwight and Dorothy Poole, Sam and Josephine Poole, all of Route 1, Max Meadows, Gary and Mary Jo Poole of Route 3, Wytheville, and Mark and Sue Poole of Route 1, Max Meadows; a sister-in-law, Mabel P. Hudson, 20 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
