Marjorie M. White, 96, formerly of Main Street Westport, died Sunday, Feb 10, 2013 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law on the Goff Road in Westport. She was born in Wadhams May 2, 1916, the daughter of the late Elbridge and Elizabeth (Mitchell) Lawrence. Marjorie married her first husband, John Montville. He died tragically as a result of an electrical accident. Her second husband, Clarence J. White, also predeceased her. Marjorie worked in the cafeteria at Westport Central School for 31 years prior to retiring. She was a member of the Fr. Issac Jogues Catholic Daughters of Westport. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and embroidering.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Ruth and Dr. Peter Jensen of Westport, 4 grandsons, six great-grandchildren; four step-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her daughter Donna White; granddaughter, Cindy Crandall; brother, Elbert Lawrence; and sisters Elsie Sherman and Mildred Campbell.
